ERA-GLONASS + telematics unit

An ERA-GLONASS unit combined with telematics was developed. Its functionality fully complies with GOST requirements while being enhanced with telematics capabilities. A special device architecture was created with logically separated functional parts – the ERA-GLONASS part and the telematics part.
A dual-profile SIM chip is used. In normal mode, telematics operates with packet data transmission. In an emergency, priority switches to the ERA-GLONASS part: the SIM chip switches to the GLONASS profile, after which an emergency call is made with MND transmission.
Thanks to the logical separation of functions, the device is certified as two different products, allowing SPIC points to be obtained both for the ERA-GLONASS unit and for the telematics unit – with the points being cumulative.
It was produced in two variants:

• with a separated BIP system (microphone integrated with the SOS button, speaker installed separately);
• with an integrated BIP system (microphone and speaker housed in a single flush-mount unit).
